Rotary

William is originally from Ghana. His Rotary journey began in 1987 with the Gaborone Rotary Club in Botswana where he was the expatriate Director of Epidemiology and Communicable Disease Control and TB program.  He immigrated to Canada in 1990 and joined the Regina South Rotary Club, Prince George Nechako Club, the Prince George Rotary Club for two years and back to the Nechako Club before retiring to Richmond.  William served as club director for international collaboration/assistance projects and Rotary World Help. In 2013 Nechako Club elected him the Rotarian of the Year and in 2015 the Prince George Foundation honored him as Citizen of the Year for volunteer activities mainly within Rotary.
 

Profession

Dr William Osei MB ChB (Ghana). MPH (Michigan), FACE (USA) was until recently the Executive Director of the Osei Global Health Solutions Inc. He was in that capacity the contract medical director (Administration) for four health facilities in Northern BC. He had transitioned from formal retirement as one of the Medical Health Officers for Northern Health Authority. He was based in Prince George from 2007 till 2020, in Regina Saskatchewan from 1994 to 2007 and Richmond BC from 1990 to 1994.
 
William has extensive experience with international health and development organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), African and other governments as well as other regional and professional bodies
 

Personal

He is married to Philomena for forty-six years and they have three adult “children”.
