On October 1st, Jim Skelton was inducted to the United States Tennis Association/Pacific Northwest Section Hall of Fame at the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club.

Jim was joined by 50 of his close friends from the tennis community for an intimate evening honour his accomplishments over many years. Guests included many of BC's former national team members including Tony and Bob Bardsley, Bob Puddicombe, Don McCormick, and former national coach Josef Brabenec with wife Hanna.

 

 

Former Tennis Canada President, Bob Mofatt, and son Leigh Skelton delighted the audience with stories from their history with Jim. PNW executive director, Bill Leong presented Jim with award. British Columbia's link to the United States Tennis Association dates back to 1916. Jim is only the 5th British Columbian inducted to the hall. Jim's accomplishment include multiple national championships, sectional championships, and coaching Canada's Davis Cup team
