Visited Jim Aug 2006

Today I had the pleasure of spending a few quality hours with my dear friend and mentor PP Jim Skelton. I was invited for a BBQ lunch on the roof top of his new home at the O'Keefe Tower at Yew and 12th Avenue in Vancouver.

It was indeed a beautiful day in many ways. After arriving at the 8-story residence which is built on the old O'Keefe Brewery property, as you may have already guessed, I was met at the lobby by my host and escorted to his beautifully appointed suite, with his tennis and war days memorabilia, for one of his special "JS Gin Martinis" which certainly set the tone for the afternoon, not that it was needed in order to do so under such a special occasion.

Following this aperitif we repaired to the roof top where we dined on the open patio overlooking the splendid vista of our beautiful City, particularly the North Shore mountains, of course.

It was indeed a nice day with a nice touch with a dear friend, to start the week off. Thank you Jim.
