Sgt. Ted Lewko of Richmond RCMP provided an orientation of their Community Outreach programmes at our luncheon of March 28, 2018.  The detachment has forged relationships with the community and has programmes in many areas of service.  These services are provided via their programme of Auxiliary Constables, who are uniformed volunteers with a mandate to support community police services.  More about their service can be found on this city website.

We were joined by return visitor Jimmy Yan from Access Pro Bono and Linda Wong from ex-Chinatown Club. It was really nice to see Claudette today, she hasn't been able to attend for several meetings.   Our fill-in Sgt. At Arms, James Kao passed around the pot, and everyone had their opportunity to express their happy and sad dollar story.

Next week, please join us at the Hilton to hear about "Shelter Box" a Rotary supported disaster relief programme.  Our speaker will be Chris Loat, who is well versed in this area of service.  And keep Apr 18th on your calendar as Past District Governor, Chris Offer will be telling us some background on the "Rotarian" magazine, it is also our club's 56th Anniversary.
