It was fun!  Thanks to Richmond President Dean, Sunrise President Larry, Sunset President Michael and Steveston President Scott for getting together for an Enchilada Social night.  Over 100 Rotarians, family and friends celebrated Mexico's Independence Day at Cambie Community Hall, among them were Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie, MP Joe Peschisolido, Past District Governor Gordon Dalglish and Past Assistant Governor Rick Lewall.

Why Enchilada?  Richard Boulier's club RC Huauchinango, Mexico visited our club this summer and as they say "when people get together, you don't know what will happen".  In this case, after a few minutes of discussion the idea was hatched, an enchilada night for all the Rotarians in Richmond.

Richard showed a video from Huauchinango and learned of their Club project.  We enjoyed Mexican cuisine while we were serenaded by fabulous Mexican music by Gustavol Herria.  The evening ended with a traditional piƱata for the enjoyment of two excited and enthusiastic children.

Many thanks to the Interactors from Cambie Secondary who volunteered to set up the room and serve food.  Also, thanks to hard working Richard, Juan, Raymond, Paul, Jacqueline, Suna, Emcee Rick and all the volunteers for this fun evening.
