Fantastic, we achieved our quorum at Club Assembly on Aug 1st. The budget for 2018-2019 was ratified by the members and the Rotary Club of Richmond is in business for another year of Making Good Things Happen. The Budget reflected the planned fundraising activities for the year and to whom our efforts will benefit.
Now that the plan is set for the year, it's full speed ahead for Chinese New Year, a Table Tennis Tournament for Seniors, funds for Rotary Hospice House, supporting a school rebuild in Nepal and a Concert at Chan Centre for ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital project, just to mention a few. President Dean and Treasurer Cindy did a fine job presenting their first budget. Our next Assembly will be in November when we host District Governor Darcy Long.
We also celebrated birthday for the July birthday boys and girl... Eva, Alvin, James Kao, PP James and PP Keith. Unfortunately Eva and James Kao missed the birthday cake, it was made with love by Becky, carrot cake with cream cheese icing. We hand delivered a piece for PP Philip for his birthday, the day of the meeting Aug 1st.
