Attendees today learned about a different style of art competition.  Started by Maggie Li, 5 years ago, the International Children's Cartoon Competition has expanded to many thousands of entries and several countries around the globe.  In Canada alone, there were over 700 entries, the best of which were displayed in a souvenir book.  This competition is aimed at youth under 18, and although is called a Cartoon Competition, exhibits followed many themes and styles of art.  The deadline for 2019 Canadian competition is March 10. The themes this year are Happy Birthday, Food Imagination and My Funny Life.   We learned today, that the organizers wish to use the competition as a fundraiser and support the Rotary Foundation, Polio Plus campaign.  More information will follow.
