The May 24 SOS Children's Village Walk/Run raised nearly $25,000, with about $5,000 via our Rotary Club of Richmond. Our hero is David Takahashi with $1,510 on his pledge sheet. Thanks also to Philip Li with $870. The Rotary of Richmond Team including Becky, Keith, Makoto, Barbara, Helge are in for $1,580. Other generous donations from club members James Hsieh, Chris Browne and Tony Yurkovich.
Great to see RC Steveston, RC Tsawwassen and RC Richmond Sunset at this event. The Rotaract Club of Richmond came out in full force volunteering their time and some Interactors helped with set-up on Saturday and Tear-Down on Sunday. Thanks to the Rotary Family pitching in and contributing to this 7th annual SOS Children's Village BC Run & Walk. Kudos to Barb, David and Philip for their time and effort, as well as new Rotarian Daniel Wang who helped set up on Saturday and Chak Au who came by on Sunday to show his support. It was very good to see Honorary Member Alice Wong drop by our booth for a visit and catch-up on news.
