2012 CKNW Orphan Fund
On Friday December 7, 2012 Keith Tsukishima, Debbie Lundrigan, President Barbara Duggan and her son Lucas Cawkell, joined other Rotarians in the CKNW radio pledge day fund-raiser for the Orphan Fund. It was a great experience, and lots of fun.
…a bit about the CKNW Orphan fund: Some time prior to 1949, CKNW radio began collecting Christmas presents for local orphanage up the road from the station. Today fundraising efforts focus on children with special needs such as those that require extra support for their development, including social, physical and mental.
